Planning a wedding and want to inquire about getting your cake designed by KWENTO?

BUT โ before you do, here are some helpful tips that can get your date and cake booked in sooner:
- Before sending off your inquiry, please be sure to include your event date in the subject line.
- In the body of the email include:
1) Number of servings
2) Reception location
3) Wedding Planner/Day-of coordinator (if applicable)
4) Inspiration photos, if any, or your wedding moodboard. Please note, as always, we do not copy the work of other bakers/bakeries. We will design cakes based on our interpretation of the referenced photos.
5) Any helpful details youโd like us to know
GOOD TO KNOW:
- We take bookings max 6 months in advance
- We work primarily with buttercream that can be dyed to match colours on your palette if you choose a colourful cake.
- For florals, pricing is finalized once florals are purchased. This final price is usually charged post-wedding in a separate invoice as florals are purchased a day or two before the wedding to ensure freshness. Base cost of the cake will be required prior.
- We require a $65 consultation/advanced booking fee. This is non-refundable and does not apply to the final price of your cake. This fee covers email correspondence and phone consultation. We will invoice you for this fee once we begin the consultation process.
- We do encourage you to trust us on the design of your cake. We absolutely do have your best interest in mind and are experts in our craft. We do accept photos of other wedding cakes done by other cake artists, however we will never copy the designs of others.
- We offer cake tastings a few times a year. We will post this on our IG (@make_kwento) and our website when these become available. We know this is an exciting part of the process, so another suggestion would be to try our cupcakes which are available in-store daily. Flavours do vary per day. Please call ahead to see what is available.
-Lastly, we do have a selection of cake stands available for rent. Please let us know if youโre interested so we can send you our selection.
